I'm ok with that. I'm about at the midpoint, minus a short scene or so. Considering I spent the last two weeks in pain, that's not too shabby. Turns out the TMJ pain - and subsequent tooth and face pain - was in part due to a pretty severe sinus infection. I'm still recovering, but definitely on the road to better. So I took off a few days due to pain and the holiday. Wednesday was awful. Thursday was a family day. Friday was a shopping day (barf - yay - ugh). Saturday was a quiet day filled with house decorating and loads of medication. Then, the baby got sick. Ok, so technically she's not a baby anymore, but she's my baby. And she was sick. So I gave up until yesterday. Shit happens. Especially in November. And I'm cool with that.
Now . . . on to the second half.
I get to write another one thousand six hundred-something words tomorrow. Because that's what we do. We write like hell when we can, and try not to abandon our loved ones along the way. So December is really all about finishing that damn book already, but also about taking time off to enjoy family and friends. It's about balance. Yeah, good luck with that.
Congrats to all the winners, and
Happy Novel Finishing Month everyone!!!
Michelle, even under normal circumstances, that would be a darn good total. Under these circumstances, it's amazing. Congratulations.
